The Department of Health (DOH) on Wednesday recorded 176 new COVID-19 infections, while the number of active cases went down to 9,120.

The National Capital Region had the highest number of new cases, with 948 in the past two weeks. It was followed by the Davao Region with 389 cases, Northern Mindanao with 370, Calabarzon with 299, and Soccsksargen with 168.

The data also showed that 3,718 beds were occupied, while 20,401 were vacant, for a national bed occupancy rate of 15.4% as of Tuesday.A total of 6,046 individuals were tested on Tuesday, while 324 testing laboratories submitted data. —
