DOH-Regional Director Eduardo Janairo said the workshop was aimed at providing knowledge and skills in basic psychosocial care services to health workers at the local level, “including simple scientific tools for various psychosocial interventions and systematic techniques of providing mental health support.”
“What is not visible to us that have long term effects on affected individuals are the psychological and emotional wounds, traumas, and mental stress caused by these events,” he added.
