The number of new coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19) cases in the city of Manila is seen to be decreasing, the Department of Health (DOH) reported Thursday. 

The number of new coronavirus disease-2019 cases in the city of Manila is seen to be decreasing, the Department of Health reported Thursday.

The city’s case doubling time, or the time when reported cases are doubled, also slowed down to 9.14 days, the DOH said. In a press conference on Thursday , National Task Force Chief Implementer Carlito Galvez Jr. commended the Manila city government for its mass testing efforts and early detection and prevention of the disease.

I think the DOH should start focusing on how to increase the recovery rate of our Covid patients. We have to compare the medications we give our patients with other countries. Are we still using the clinical trials anti viral that the WHO gave us? Are they given to all patients?

It’s a bit too early to say that merely days after the highest reported cases in Metro Manila.
