The Department of Health (DOH) on Wednesday logged 287 new COVID-19 infections, while the tally of active cases went down to 11,031.

According to the DOH’s latest figures, the country’s COVID-19 tally is currently at 4,071,013.

The regions with the most cases in the recent two weeks were the National Capital Region with 1,677, followed by Calabarzon with 839, Central Luzon with 421, Cagayan Valley with 368, and Western Visayas with 280. The recovery tally climbed by 630 cases to 3,994,345, while the death toll increased to 65,637 with 19 new fatalities.

At least 11,494 individuals were tested, while 332 testing laboratories submitted data as of Tuesday, January 17. The bed occupancy in the country stood at 19.4% with at least 5,227 beds occupied and 21,752 were vacant as of Sunday, January 15.
