The Department of Health registered 154 new COVID-19 infections on Friday, pushing the nationwide caseload to 4,173,631.

The active cases slightly dipped to 3,832, while the recovery tally is at 4,103,172.In the past two weeks, the National Capital Region had the highest number of new cases with 493, followed by Calabarzon with 309, Central Luzon with 296, Western Visayas with 183, and Davao Region with 180.

On Thursday, a total of 4,136 individuals were tested based on data from 305 testing laboratories, and the cumulative positivity rate stood at 13.5%. The national bed occupancy rate was 13.8% on Thursday, with 3,304 occupied and 20,658 vacant beds. —
