The Department of Health on Saturday urged various institutions to coordinate with the DOH when sharing information with regards to the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

“The DOH would like to remind all health care providers, institutions, and stakeholders to exercise utmost prudence in sharing sensitive information about suspected or confirmed cases,” said Health Secretary Francisco Duque III in a press briefing.

Duque made the remark after the Cardinal Santos Medical Center, St. Luke’s Medical Center-Global City, Deloitte Philippines, Avida Towers, San Juan City government, and FilEast Homeowners Association issued separate statements concerning the fourth and fifth confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the Philippines.

“They made a request na kung pwedeng wag babanggitin ang Cardinal Santos Medical… only to find out later sila pala mismo ang nagbanggit ng sarili nila,” said Duque.
