Written and created by Mike Bartlett, the BBC Studios show tells the story of Gemma Foster, a doctor whose life takes a drastic turn when she suspects her husband of having an affair. It ran for two seasons, until 2017. It has been adapted for audiences all over the world, from South Korea, France, Russia, Turkey, and India. The South Korean adaptation in particular became a hit with Filipino audiences and was broadcast by ABS-CBN in June 2020.
The upcoming Philippine adaptation is set to go into production later in 2021, though a cast has yet to be announced. ABS-CBN president and CEO Carlo Katigbak, chief of broadcast Cory Vidanes, and entertainment production head Laurenti Dyogi will be executive producing the show, along with Dreamscape Entertainment head Deo Endrinal.“It is a privilege for us to be able to produce this highly engaging and relatable story for the Filipino audience.
