DICT secretary ikinalungkot ang pagtanggal sa confidential funds

Watch more News on iWantTFC Ikinalungkot ni Information and Communications Technology Secretary Ivan John Uy ang pagtanggal ng House of Representatives Small Committee sa kanilang hinihinging confidential funds para sa taong 2024.

"Kung totoong tinanggal po 'yung confidential funds, eh good news po 'yan. Good news 'yan sa cybercriminals, sa mga cyberterrorists, na ang Pilipinas eh libreng libre, open city, open country, for them to do their work with impunity dahil wala po tayong kakayahan na habulin sila, imbestigahan sila, at itigil ang kanilang paghahasik ng lagim sa ating bansa," ani Uy sa panayam sa Teleradyo Serbisyo.

"Medyo mali po ang message na ipinapadala natin sa buong mundo, na habang ang buong mundo ay tinataasan ang capacity ng kanilang ICT group upang tukuyin itong increasing threat of cybercriminals, eh tayo po, eh ina-announce po natin na, 'Come and you're welcome to the Philippines'," paliwanag ni Uy. Ayon pa kay Uy, mahalaga ang confidential funds para sa DICT dahil hindi makakabuti kung isisiwalat sa publiko ang mga ginagamit ng ahensya para maprotektahan ang datos ng gobyerno.
