Middle East remains to have the highest recorded COVID-19 cases at over 3,900 as well as deaths at 207, said the DFA. It also has the highest total number of recoveries and patients undergoing treatment at over 2,000 and nearly 1,700, respectively.as of June 16. Of the number, 6,552 have recovered while 1,103 have died.

Globally, over 7.94 million individuals have been infected by the new coronavirus, which originated from Wuhan City in China’s Hubei province late last year. More than 430,000 have died from the disease across the world.
