Frontliners at the Sta Ana Hospital in Manila plead for one thing: stop treating healthcare professionals like them as though they are the virus. RealLifeHeroes

As the world celebrates World Humanitarian Day on Wednesday, August 19, international organizations and local groups pay tribute to the #RealLifeHeroes who put their lives on the line in the blind battle against the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to John Patrick Tan, an infection control nurse, healthcare workers like them constantly face the stigma of being seen as carriers of the virus. This adds to the unprecedented struggles they have to overcome at hospital wards.Sanita Uy-Vistal, a medical lab scientist working at the same hospital, said that like everyone else, they also share the same fear of COVID-19.

Lumipat kayosa ospital ni Mayor Vico. Dun, pahahalagahan kayo. If wala silang utang na loob, wag na pag aksayahan ng oras.

I'm going to be honest, but every new case where I live was imported here thru healthcare professionals traveling back and forth between home and work. Government should provide them accommodations inside the city to avoid that travel.

Right pero sana they also treat patients with respect.

Who cares about their opinion when they encourage lockdowns that kill their Philippine neighbors through starvation, heart attacks, & strokes, while they continue to work & leave their homes. They’ve no ethics when they do this regarding a virus with a 99.9% survival rate.

Tell these ppl to stop encouraging lockdowns that don’t affect them personally & kill more Filipinos than this virus. This virus has a survival rate of more than 99.9%, kills less children than lightning & rabies, but they encourage lockdowns that Hurt others but not them.
