The DepEd announced recently that its ETF has coordinated with the Comelec to provide additional pay for the teaching and non-teaching personnel who served as members of the Electoral Board, amounting to P3,000.

THE Department of Education announced recently that its Election Task Force has coordinated with the Commission on Elections to provide additional pay for the teaching and non-teaching personnel who served as members of the Electoral Board, amounting to P3,000 due to the extended hours rendered by the electoral board members last May 9.

The DepEd said the ETF, spearheaded by Undersecretary for Administration Alain Del B. Pascua and Procurement Management Service Director Marcelo H. Bragado Jr., has immediately coordinated with the Comelec concerning the additional pay. One of the reasons that led to the extended hours is the malfunctioning vote-counting machines and SD cards.
