DepED readies report on blended learning for PBBM’s approval

With the scheduled rollout of full face-to-face classes next month, the Department of Education (DepED) is currently gathering data on schools that implement blended learning to be submitted to President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.

However, there are calls — especially coming from the private sector — to allow private schools to continue the implementation of blended learning beyond Oct. 31.Poa said that DepED has yet to give public and private schools general instructions regarding preparations for Nov. 2 — especially on the implementation of blended learning modality.

Poa said that the DepED Central Office already directed Regional Directors to identify schools that are still doing blended learning. “We are getting reports which schools that are implementing blended learning and full distance learning and we’re asking what are their reasons for implementing those modes and we will give these reports to PBBM so in the Cabinet level meeting on face-to- face classes,” Poa said.
