ICYMI: The DepEd said it is considering replacing the reportedly “outdated and pricey” laptops purchased last year for public school teachers.

“Tingnan natin kung mabagal talaga. Kung meron tayong quick fix within the department para matulungan iyong mga guro, gawin na natin. But that’s the first course of action,” he said during a joint presser with the Office of the Vice President.

In coordination with the Procurement Service of the Department of Budget and Management – who was responsible for purchasing the laptops, Poa said the DepEd would invoke the warranty clause under the contract with the supplier. Until the school year begins on August 22, he stressed the need to resolve the hounding complaints on the teachers’ laptops.

“This was not an original program of the DepEd. Although, siyempre, gusto natin i-digitize iyong ating teachers noon because andiyan iyong COVID, maraming lockdown, remote iyong schooling. That was the purpose of the laptops,” he explained.

Hmmm, so you’re just wasting tax payers’ money…as if it’s easy to get funds…

Yet another pharmally

That does not make it ok. You wasted our taxes. Sino ang nakinabang sa transaksyon na yan? Tuloy dapat ang imbestigasyon.

Will replacement entail additional expense? What are you going to do with those obsolete laptop computers? The purchase of outdated laptops is a terrible waste of Government funds. Those responsible for this transaction should be held accountable.

Why bother buying outdated laptop in the first place? 😂

The processor of the brains of magnanakaws running the government are like M1 chip. While Pinoy brains run on Windows 3.1.

Wow parang nagtatapon lang ng pera, yayamanin ang bagong gobyerno tapos dagdag tax sa mga Pinoy!
