MAYNILA - Inaasahan ng Philippine Hospital Association na maglilikha ng malaking problema ang pangako ng PhilHealth na pagbabayad ng utang nito sa pamamagitan ng debit-credit-payment mechanism .
Sa ilalim ng DCPM, uunahing bayaran ng PhilHealth ang 60% ng claims ng mga ospital at ibang healthcare facilities sa mga lugar na kinilala ng Inter-Agency Task Force bilang high risk o critical risk sa COVID-19. Sinabi ni PhilHealth President and CEO Dante Gierran sa House Committee on Good Government and Public Accountability na plano nilang bayaran ang 60 porsiyento ng mga in-process claims ng mga ospital sa susunod na linggo.
Sa P21.1 billion na pagkakautang ng PhilHealth sa mga ospital hanggang nitong Agosto 24, P10.6 billion ay sa mga pribadong ospital, ayon kay Dr. Benjamin Pague, acting senior manager ng information management system ng ahensiya.
