– A total 48,292 grocery food packs have already been distributed by the city government to the remaining barangays as part of the relief operations to assist residents in coping with the coronavirus disease 2019 crisis.Mayor Sara Duterte said, on Tuesday, that the city government, through the City Social Welfare and Development Office , has dropped off relief goods to Barangays Bago Gallera, Dumoy, Buhangin Proper, Bangkas Heights, Crossing Bayabas, Lubugan, Dalia, and Toril Proper.
“They were already told to bring their trucks or if they do not have trucks, they can borrow, and then they can get the allotted grocery packs for them from the warehouses ,” Duterte said. She said she will still have to clarify the matter on whether the city government will continue the distribution even during the observation of the Holy Thursday and Good Friday.
