D&L’s Batangas facility to start operations in mid-2023

Listed specialty food ingredients and chemicals manufacturer D&L Industries Inc. said Wednesday its new production plant in Tanauan, Batangas, is set to begin operations in the middle of 2023.

Starting in mid-2023, D&L's Batangas plant will expand the manufacturing capabilities of the company’s food, oleochemicals, and consumer products ODM or original design manufacturer segments. "As the world shifts toward more sustainable consumption, we believe that having truly sustainable operations and product offerings is the way forward. There’s a lot of interest in space, and consumers are demanding businesses [make] their fair share of efforts in preserving the only planet that we have," said NAC president Dean Lao Jr.

D&L said it will employ a direct from source approach, which means converting raw materials into finished goods in the country of raw material origin instead of going through multi-leg production stages, which usually happen across different locations in the globe.
