Ang Philippine National Police nakamatikod sa dakong pagsaka sa kaso sa cybercrime sa nasod sa unang quarter sa 2024, butyag ni PNP Chief General Rommel Marbil sa Lunes, Hulyo 1, 2024.Sa usa ka pamahayag, si Marbil niingon nga ang mga kaso sa cybercrime misaka og 21.84 porsyento gikan sa Enero hangtod Marso kon itandi sa parehas nga panahon sa 2023.

Ang pagsulbad sa cybercrimes usa sa mga prayoridad ni Marbil ubos sa iyang pamunoan.Ang PNP una nang nagtukod og cyber security desks sa tanang police stations tungod sa pagdaghan sa mga kaso sa mga cybercrime sa nasod.Gipatugbaw usab niya ang panginahanglan nga mamuhunan sa teknolohiya sa Artificial Intelligence ug uban pang kapasidad aron mapauswag ang mga paningkamot batok sa cybercrimes, lakip ang manpower.
