COVID19 PUI in Negros Oriental tests positive after death

The sister-in-law of a councilor in Tayasan, Negros Oriental considered as a patient under investigation was found positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 two days after her death Tuesday.

This was confirmed by the Integrated Provincial Health Office of Negros Oriental based on the result of a swab test, which they received Thursday.The woman, together with her husband, brought the councilor to a hospital in Dumaguete City before he was diagnosed with COVID-19. Dr. Liland Estacion, assistant provincial officer of Negros Oriental, said the woman's husband who was also tagged as a PUI tested negative for COVID-19. He is still being treated in a hospital. -Report by Martian Muyco, ABS-CBN News
