tv MAYNILA — Record-high na naman ang bilang na nadagdag na kaso ng coronavirus disease ngayong Linggo, dahilan para lumagpas na higit 100,000 ang kumpirmadong kaso ng sakit sa bansa.

Umabot na sa 103,185 ang kabuuang bilang ng COVID-19 cases na naitatala sa Pilipinas matapos makapagtala ang Department of Health ng 5,032 bagong kaso.Umakyat naman sa 65,557 ang recoveries matapos makapagtala ng 301 bagong gumaling sa sakit.tv Posibleng pumalo sa 150,000 hanggang 200,000 ang bilang ng mga kaso ng COVID-19 sa bansa ngayong Agosto, base sa pag-aaral ng University of the Philippines OCTA Research.

Sa mga bagong kaso, sa National Capital Region pa rin naitala ang pinakamaraming nagpositibo, na higit 2,000. Sumunod dito ang Cavite, Cebu, Laguna at Rizal. Noong Sabado, nanawagan ang grupo ng mga medical frontliner sa gobyerno na muling isailalim sa enhanced community quarantine ang Metro Manila at mga karatig-lalawigan sa loob ng 2 linggo dahil hindi na umano nila kaya ang bugso ng COVID-19 patients.

Inihayag ng Palasyo ngayong Linggo na ipupulong ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang kaniyang Gabinete para talakayin ang apela ng mga frontliner.
