The Makati City local government is seeing a sharp decline in its COVID-19 cases.

Based on the Makati Health Department report, the city recorded 733 active cases on Oct. 12, a large decrease from 803 active cases tallied on Oct. 11.The city government attributed the decline in active cases to the continuous vaccination of its residents and non-resident alike.

As of Oct. 10, Makati City has already deployed 680,616 vaccines, with 359,003 individuals inoculated with the first dose and 267,386 fully vaccinated.
