MANILA — The Department of Health on Monday said it has seen a decline in COVID-19 cases in three Metro Manila cities although it is monitoring Quezon City because of a spike in cases.
“The following cities were mistakenly classified as hotspots and was based on a report last month,” DOH said. “We apologize for the confusion. This is our up to date record. We will redouble our efforts to keep our reports as current as possible.” Vergeire: “Looking at the epidemic curves around the country, the national picture shows an increase in cases…Cases in Visayas region are seen to be slowly decreasing.”
On Monday morning, Vergeire already mentioned Quezon City and Manila among the top 6 areas in the country with rising COVID-19 cases, alongside Cebu province, Cebu City, and Mandaue City.
