“We now have a codex of the enemy within our gates: They are young, they dislike authority outside of their own, they relish the gun as the source and instrument of their power, and they would not hesitate to kill if they do not get what they want,” he added. After the peace talks with the rebels broke down, he said the President has created a national task force to end the local communist armed conflict.
