THE Commission on Elections (Comelec) has so far processed more than 3.3 million new voter applicants in the continuing voter registration for the 2025 midterm polls.

THE Commission on Elections has so far processed more than 3.3 million new voter applicants in the continuing voter registration for the 2025 midterm polls.Chairman George Erwin Garcia said on Tuesday that the latest total of processed applications was at 3,368,999, surpassing the poll body's 3 million target.

By February 2025, or three months before the May 12, 2025 polls, the ERB will conduct the vetting process of the voters list, which includes the review of each and every application of new voters, removal of multiple registrants and those who have already died whose names are still on the records.ERB's review of the list of voters will be done in the presence of representatives of political parties, candidates, stakeholders and interest groups.
