THE Commission on Elections has junked the certificate of candidacy of former Pasig City Mayor Maria Belen 'Maribel' Andaya-Eusebio to run for a congressional seat in Camarines Sur for 'false material representation' after claiming that she was a resident of the first legislative district of the province.
'The resolution stopped Andaya-Eusebio from running as a substitute candidate for her brother, former House of Representatives' majority leader and ex-Budget secretary Rolando Andaya Jr., who originally filed his candidacy for congressman in the first district but then decided at the last minute to run instead for governor of the province.
Good job Comelec. If you can smell corruption just cut them off.
