PAGASA Weather Specialist Grace Castañeda, in a public weather forecast, said the weather system is particularly affecting the western section of Central Luzon and Visayas.
“Magdudulot ito ng maulap na kalangitan at kalat-kalat na pag-ulan dito sa western section ng Central at Southern Luzon so pag-iingat pa rin po para sa ating mga kababayan d’yan ,” Castañeda. These areas include Zambales, Bataan, Cavite, Batangas, Oriental Mindoro, Occidental Mindoro, and northern Palawan including Calamian and Kalayaan Islands. Metro Manila and the rest of the country may expect generally fair weather with chances of isolated rains due to the combined effects of the southwest monsoon and localized thunderstorms.
“Samantala, wala tayong minomonitor na sama ng panahon maaaring magkaroon ng direct effect sa ating bansa ,” Castañeda said. PAGASA, however, is closely observing a cloud cluster outside the Philippine area of responsibility east of Visayas and Mindanao as it may develop into a low pressure area in the next few days.
