MANILA, Philippines: The Cignal HD Spikers overpowered the Strong Group Athletics (SGA), 25-7, 25-16, 25-16, in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) 2024 All-Filipino Conference at the FilOil EcoOil Centre in San Juan, on Tuesday, March 19.

MANILA, Philippines: The Cignal HD Spikers overpowered the Strong Group Athletics , 25-7, 25-16, 25-16, in the Premier Volleyball League 2024 All-Filipino Conference at the FilOil EcoOil Centre in San Juan, on Tuesday, March 19. The HD Spikers put up a total of 47 attacks, while SGA only had 17. Gel Cayuna tallied a total of 21 excellent sets and added five points built on two attacks, two blocks, and an ace. Vanie Gandler led the squad after chiming in 16 points and Ces Molina added 14 markers.

Now that they returned to the winning column, Cignal also handed SGA its lowest scoring in a set as they limited Strong Group to just seven points in the first frame, 25-7. The HD Spikers asserted their dominance in the next sets to successfully finish the match via sweep. In the blocking department, SGA matched up with Cignal as they made eight block points, while HD Spikers had seven. SGA's Sheeka Espinosa put up eight points, while Mary Onofre added six.
