Police are now preparing for a massive contact-tracing for possible coronavirus disease (COVID-19) infection of all the foreign patients who availed themselves of the services of an illegal hospital that was uncovered at Clark Freeport Zone in Pampanga.

But Brig. Gen. Rhoderick Armamento, deputy director for administration of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group , said they may start with the contact tracing based on the two arrested Chinese who acted as the pharmacist and the supervisor of the hospital/pharmacy, and one Chinese patient whom the police chanced upon during the raid on Monday.

During the raid, Armamento said they found three plastic bags containing used syringes and used testing kits apparently for coronavirus. This bolstered suspicion that the hospital was catering to patients showing signs of COVID-19. The Chinese patient whom the cops chanced upon in the area during the raid, complained of headache and sore throat.

“I told our operatives that they should look for the logbook because all patients are expected to list their names and other information. The feedback is that there were documents in Chinese characters so we still have to decode it,” said Armamento.
