THE Diocese of Albay has urged the Commission on Elections to reconsider its decision disqualifying incumbent Albay Gov. Noel Rosal and his wife Legazpi City Mayor Carmen Geraldine Rosal for alleged violation of the election ban on government spending.Albay Bishop Joel Baylon said that the Comelec should look deeper into the accusations against the two as 'there could be something more in here.
'He said that Rosal had issued drastic measures to end illegal quarrying around the volcano.'Here is a leader who is trying to do his best. He did it not for aggrandizement or to be elected. He has been doing this long before the elections, just like what he has been doing to help and protect our people from the pandemic,' Baylon said.
