Being a Christmas icon himself, Chan has been a subject of “memes” online whenever the “Ber” months approach, indicating the start of holiday season. “It’s a little bit negative and a little bit derogatory. Though I would like to think na malapit nang matapos , we are all living in darkness, as my song goes ‘the dawn cannot be far, when gentle winds of peace fill our hearts,’” said Chan.
“I would like to think that Christmas will be the same. Because Christmas is in the hearts. We just have to be patient and wait for that vaccine. We just have to be patient and be obedient to protocols," he said.
