Chinese embassy itinangging nagbigay ng test kits na 40 porsiyento ang accuracy

tv MAYNILA — Itinanggi ng embahada ng China sa Pilipinas na galing sa kanila ang tinukoy ng Department of Health na COVID-19 test kits na 40 porsiyento lang ang accuracy o kasiguraduhan ng resulta.

Nauna nang sinabi ni Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire na hindi muna ginagamit sa Pilipinas ang COVID-19 test kits mula China dahil hindi daw ito accurate, base sa pamantayan ng World Health Organization. "The test kits mentioned during the press briefing by the Department last 28 March 2020 referred to another brand of test kit that was proposed to be donated by a private foundation."Bukod sa test kits, humingi rin ng paumanhin ang DOH kung nagkaroon man ng impresyon na ang P500 allowance na ibibigay nila sa volunteer doctors at nurses ay sumalamin sa kung gaano pinahahalagahan ng ahensiya ang health workers.

Ayon kay Vergeire, ang P500 ay para lang sa araw-araw na gastusin ng mga volunteer at hindi ang kabuuang bayad para sa kanilang serbisyo."Alam natin dito sa kagawaran kung gaano kaimportante, gaano kadelikado ang maging isang health care worker," ani Vergeire.
