China will be sending 100,000 Covid-19 testing kits with primers and personal protective equipment (PPE) by the weekend, says DFA Secretary Teodoro Locsin Jr. Read

FOREIGN Affairs Secretary Teodoro Locsin Jr. on Wednesday, March 18, said China will be sending 100,000 Covid-19 testing kits with primers and personal protective equipment by the weekend to help the Philippines combat the pandemic.

“China getting chartered flight by weekend; mysteriously there are no Philippine flights. I am asked to please alert Customs to let donation through pronto—and the rest of the bureaucracy not to throw a monkey wrench. Dear Thor, please, prepare your lightning bolts,” Locsin said in another post. According to Chinese state news agency Xinhua, the Chinese official had told Locsin that China is willing to do its utmost to help the Philippines combat Covid-19, the respiratory disease caused by the novel coronavirus.
