THE Chery Tiggo Crossovers rallied from two sets down to take down the Creamline Cool Smashers, 23-25, 20-25, 25-21, 25-23, 15-8, in the deciding Game Three and win the championship in the Premier Volleyball League Open Conference on Friday afternoon, August 13, at the PCV Socio Civic and Cultural Center in Bacarra.
“I just want to thank the Lord for giving me strength,” said Manabat after the thrilling clash between the two powerhouse volleyball squads. The Cool Smashers, who had came out on top in five different five-set games, including Game One of the finals, cracked under pressure and committed one miscue after another that allowed the Crossovers to complete their come-from-behind win.
"I want to congratulate Creamline, which has the experience in this kind of level . But thank God, He guided us and we showed what we are made of," said Chery Tiggo coach Aaron Velez. "We just trusted ourselves, we trusted one another."
