Several Filipino celebrities have expressed on social media their concern about the corona-virus scare in the country.

The Department of Health, on Thursday, confirmed the Philippines’ first case of the infectious disease involving a 38-year-old woman from Wuhan, China.Atom Araullo wrote: “Now that we have a confirmed case of NCoV in the Philippines, some quick reminders: 1. Don’t panic. 2. Wash your hands frequently. 3. Facemasks will help. 4. Get enough rest to boost your immune system. 5. Stay up to date through credible sources.#coronavirus #NCoV.”Lovi Poe: “With that being said, keep safe everyone..

“We were able to detect the first confirmed case because of our strong surveillance system, close coordination with World Health Organization and other national agencies, and the utilization of DOH’s decision tool,” he said at a press briefing. “I urge the public to stay calm and remain vigilant at all times. Let us continue to practice good personal hygiene and adopt healthy lifestyles.”
