Cebu town police chief arrested for 'sleeping' with female drug detainee

Lee said that at around 11:20 pm on Thursday, the team of PNP-IMEG agents with regional and Cebu police raided the Argao Municipal Station where they found Miranda sleeping in one bed with 23-year-old detainee Jean Claudia de Guzman alias Tarya Jr, in the police chief’s quarters at the station. “Major Miranda and De Guzman were found sleeping in one bed while the other female inmate was deep in her slumber at the police chief’s office. This won’t be tolerated,” Lee said.

“The two female inmates are supposed to be locked up at the police jail, not sleeping at the room of the police station commander,” said Lee. Lee said Miranda had been placed under surveillance following reports that he allowed female detainees to stay and sleep in his office.
