Vice President Leni Robredo’s supporters in Cebu wear lavender ribbons as a sign of support for her candidacy should she decide to run for the country’s highest post in 2022.
Representatives of groups belonging to the Cebu Citizens’ Assembly gathered at Cebu City on Tuesday, February 9, 2021, to share their hopes for the vice president to take the challenge of running for the country’s top executive in the next elections. “Akbayan Women supports VP Leni Robredo in her presidential candidacy this coming 2022 elections. Since VP Leni has taken her office, she has remained true to her word that she will be of help to the marginalized women,” said Akbayan Cebu.
The Silent Majority group has appealed to Robredo to run for president as well saying there are Cebuanos clamoring for her to take the top seat of the government.The Liberal Party Cebu expressed support to Robredo should she decide to run for the presidency and assured her that the party in Cebu will be behind her back and her campaign.
