Lord Allan Velasco’s silence is deafening.Cayetano appeared unrelenting in his tirade against Velasco, whom he accused of plotting a coup e’tat to put an abrupt end to his speakership which should end when the 15-21 term-sharing agreement between them is carried out in November.
“Ang challenge ko lang is for him to make a statement na once you become speaker wala siyang tatanggalin sa mga committee chariman,” Cayetano said. Cayetano repeated his accusation against Velasco as the one who allegedly instigated “instability” in the Lower House by approaching congressmen with promises of juicy committee assignments.
In the past week, Cayetano has been publicly assailing Velasco for the alleged coup d’etat which he claimed to have been confirmed by at least 20 congressmen, whose names he has failed to reveal.
