MANILA - More areas were placed under wind signals early Monday, as Typhoon Tisoy slightly intensified ahead of its landfall, the state weather bureau said, as it continued to threaten the country's hosting of the 30th Southeast Asian Games.
Catanduanes has been placed under wind signal no.3, where 121 to 170 kilometers per hour winds are expected within 18 hours.- Eastern portion of Batangas - Camarines Sur- Samar- Mountain Province- Nueva Ecija- rest of Batangas- northern portion of Negros Occidental The typhoon is forecast to make landfall over Catanduanes or Albay between Monday night and early Tuesday, PAGASA said.
PAGASA said intermittent to occasional heavy rains would prevail over Bicol region, Eastern Visayas, Northern Cebu, Dinagat Islands and Siargao Island on Monday afternoon.
