A notorious carnapper who tried to shoot a traffic enforcer in Valenzuela City was arrested and underwent inquest proceedings at the Manila City Prosecutor’s Office Tuesday.
Investigation showed that the suspect was riding a Yamaha Mio motorcycle at the intersection of 25th Street and Bonifacio Drive in Manila when he lost control of his vehicle and accidentally hit Rowena Guarin, who was on a bicycle, and the front portion of an aluminum van at about 4:40 p.m. on Jan. 9.
Castro, who was wearing a helmet and face mask at the time, reportedly introduced himself as a member of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group .
