Fourteen crew members of a cargo vessel were rescued early Monday by the Philippine Coast Guard Station in the province of Occidental Mindoro after their vessel ran aground near Lubang town. | mvirolaINQ /PDI

In an incident report, the PCG said the cargo vessel MV Manfel V ran aground around 7 p.m.

Sunday in the vicinity waters off Lubang, or at approximately 110 meters from the shorelines of Lubang’s Barangay Maligaya.Based on the initial investigation, MV Manfel V suffered engine trouble at 9 a.m. on Saturday near Fortune Island after leaving Subic town in Zambales province en route to Bauan town, Batangas province.NEWSINFO
