MAUBAN, Quezon- The Mauban municipal government has ordered the temporary lockdown of Cagbalete Island and other tourist sites due to the threat of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) effective Tuesday here.

, Quezon- The Mauban municipal government has ordered the temporary lockdown of Cagbalete Island and other tourist sites due to the threat of the coronavirus disease 2019 effective Tuesday here.

The two-week lockdown on Cagbalete Islands and other Mauban tourism spots will help health personnel and other concerned agencies to monitor and assess the local situation and will give time to prepare for a long term plan to protect the municipality and its people from the national treat. Meanwhile, the PCG-Mauban station. in partnership with the local PNP and the Bantay Dagat, shall ensure that all public passengers boats, motor bancas and or tourist boats shall comply with the lockdown, the order added.
