The Bureau of Quarantine has taken measures to ensure “maximum prevention” against the spread of the coronavirus disease 2019 in the country’s ports of entry.Alexander Oba, division chief for quarantine service of the bureau, said they are working closely with the terminal operators, ship agents, local airlines, and other port authorities in implementing preventive measures to reduce the risk of coronavirus spread in the country.

“The Bureau of Quarantine is continuously implementing as much as possible the maximum prevention and control the spread of infection for n-CoV at points of entry,” he added. With the removal of the travel ban on Taiwan, he said they have also lifted the quarantine for airline crew who arrived from Taipei.
