The Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) has warned the public against certain groups which claim to be connected with the bureau and solicit money for persons deprived of liberty (PDLs).

The Bureau of Corrections has warned the public against certain groups which claim to be connected with the bureau and solicit money for persons deprived of liberty .

In a social media post, BuCor said the San Ramon Prison and Penal Farm in Zamboanga City has been victimized by the scammers. It said letters signed by a certain Roloando R. Camogao, who claims to a former PDL and founding chairperson of the “Rehab Society Association, NBP. Reservation, Zamboanga Peninsula,” have been sent to public and private organizations to solicit money.

“These entities and personalities are not connected with the Bureau of Corrections and San Ramon Prison and Penal Farm , Zamboanga City,” BuCor said. “If you receive any similar communication, report immediately and notify the Bureau of Corrections and San Ramon Prison and Penal Farm through the following contact information — Facebook: @piobucorofficial, Email:
