The Filipino film “Broken Blooms” has received several awards at various international film festivals.
According to Nelson Canlas’ “24 Oras” report Wednesday, it won the Gold Remi Award at Houston International Film Festival and was also the only Filipino film at the 41st Oporto Film Festival in Portugal. It was also named Best Narrative Feature Film at India’s Mokkho International Film Festival, where Jeric Gonzales and Therese Malvar were awarded Best Actor and Best Actress in an Indie.Jeric, who played a daring role for the first time, was thankful that he won Best Actor at Harlem International Film Festival in New York.
