A statement from the National Union of Journalists of the Philippines condemned the killing of Juan Jumalon, also known as DJ Johnny Walker.
"The attack is even more condemnable since it happened at Jumalon's own home, which also served as the radio station," NUJP's statement said. A now-deleted statement from the Misamis Occidental Police Provincial Office said authorities immediately responded to the incident and are exerting all efforts to identify the person or persons behind the incident.
The NUJP said it was the fourth such incident under the administration of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.This is a developing story and will be updated.
