Team USA started the 2023 FIBA World Cup as a tournament favorite.

Despite losing by a narrow margin to Lithuania, 110-104 in the second round, the United States, composed of 12 NBA players, seemed poised to reach the medal round, along with high hopes of winning it all the way.The Americans, in fact, marched into the quarterfinals with their confidence sky high as evident by their 100-63 shredding of the Italy side. But Team USA was dealt a reality check in the semifinals.

'The 25-year-old American gunner said the FIBA World Cup experience can be summed up to 'winning and losing.''We lost so bad. I don't know what you want from me. I wouldn't give up any of them for anything, but as far as a competitor that wanted to win, it's win or nothing. That's how I've always perceived. You know going to play every game, if you don't win, it don't matter if you have 50 or... it's a loss. That's all of it for me.
