Breaking barriers: 51 female personnel finish PH Coast Guard training

The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) has commissioned into service 51 female personnel who successfully finished their non-officers’ course at the PCG National Headquarters in Port Area, Manila on Wednesday, June 30.​At least 51 female personnel made their way into the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) service after finishing Coast Guard’s Non-Officers’ Course in the National Headquarters, Port Area, Manila on Wednesday, June 30​, 2021. Admiral George Ursabia Jr., PCG Commandant, encouraged the newly-commissioned personnel to do their best in fulfilling their duties despite being in a male-dominated field.“Make the most out of the opportunity to become part of the PCG by serving with humility and compassion, [and] also embody the ideals of genuine PCG – patriotism, compassion, and fear of God,” Ursabia told the female graduates.
