Defining the News

Effective this Friday, March 1, BPI customers transferring funds to their GCash accounts via ECPay outlets will be charged P10 per transaction from the previous rate of P5. BPI issued this advisory as early as January, but it is worth reminding the public due to its implementation this week.

Transfer fees to other mobile wallet platforms, meanwhile, shall remain free of charge. BPI posted its updated table of fees for digital transactions on its website, including the following:· Vybe – No fee· EasyTrip – P15.00 Vybe is the e-wallet feature of BPI while Maya is under Voyager Innovations, Inc., which is part of the MVP Group of Companies.
