Filipino boxer Nesthy Petecio clinched the gold medal in the 2019 AIBA Women’s Boxing World Championships, besting Liudmila Vorontsova at the latter's turf in Ulan-Ude, Russia on Sunday.
Petecio, who hurdled England's Karris Artingstall in the semifinals, outclassed her Russian rival in the women's featherweight class despite the latter's hometown advantage, according to a post by her nutritionist Jeaneath Aro.5 opponents before facing off against Vorontsova.
