Box Office Entertainment Awards names Bong Revilla Comedy Actor of the Year

Senator Bong Revilla’s starring role in the TV adaptation of the ‘90s film he starred in earned him the awardActor and Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla, Jr., known for his roles in action movies, won the Comedy Actor of the Year award at the recent Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Scholarship Foundation’s Box Office Entertainment Awards ceremony on May 12.

He was selected by the board of jurors of Guillermo Foundation in recognition of the high ratings of Walang Matigas na Pulis sa Matinik na Misis, the TV adaptation of the ‘90s movie of the same title where Revilla starred himself. Revilla’s latest trophy is an addition to his four Box Office Entertainment Awards for Box Office King from Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Scholarship Foundation. He was also awarded Best Comedy Actor in the 2001 PMPC Star Awards for TV for his phenomenal sitcom Idol Ko si Kap.

“I am deeply honored and grateful to be selected as the Comedy Actor of the Year in this esteemed Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Scholarship Foundation’s Box Office Entertainment Awards. I am truly humbled. Nagpapasalamat po ako sa lahat ng sumuporta sa Walang Matigas na Pulis sa Matinik na Misis sa nakalipas na dalawang season. Ang award na ito ay hindi lang para sa akin kundi para sa lahat ng tumawa, nakiiyak, at nakisaya,” Revilla said in a pre-recorded video message played during the event.
