The latest version of BMW’s entry-level Sport Activity Vehicle, the third-generation X1 has arrived in the Philippines. The country’s exclusive BMW distributor, SMC Asia Car Distributors Corporation brings in the all-new X1 with a heightened sense of style, spaciousness, and digitalization.
The BMW X1 raises the digital experience with its wide screen display which is formed by the 10.25-inch information display and 10.7-inch control display. Powered by the BMW Operating System 8.0—the new system promotes the use of touch and voice controls, while significantly reducing the number of physical buttons and controls. Four USB Type C ports as well as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard on the X1.
The X1 has made significant improvements to acoustic comfort and this is backed up by a smooth turbo diesel engine. The 2.0-liter 4-cylinder BMW Twin Power Turbo engine makes 150 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque. Mated to a 7-speed dual clutch automatic, it’s enough for a 0 to 100 km/h time of 8.9 seconds, while also returning more than 20 km/L.
